Physical medium is slowly becoming a favorite. The main challenge of designing a piece then constructing it layer by layer just hits right. Registration was the biggest obstacle, as the piece would look “off” if the layers were misregistered. The first few prints ended up fairly strong, but left a lot to be desired. Over the next few projects, due to the material more time and care was required for the prints to get a consistent color throughout.
